Jakarta Humanitarian Collaborative Task Force Hands Over Logistics Assistance for West Pasaman

The Jakarta Humanitarian Collaborative Task Force has arrived at West Pasaman Regent Office, West Sumatera, after traveling overland for two days.

I hope a collaboration between regions will always be maintained in disaster management

After arriving at the location, they immediately handed over the assistance symbolically to the West Pasaman Vice Regent, Risnawanto, for earthquake victims in his region.

Risnawanto thanked the Jakarta Government for helping ease the burden on West Pasaman residents, even though they had to go through a long and tiring journey.

Governor Dispatches Humanitarian Collaborative Task Force to West Pasaman

"We on behalf of the government and the people of West Pasaman would like to thank you for your assistance. It is very meaningful for residents affected by the earthquake," he said, Friday (3/4).

According to him, logistic assistance would be directly distributed to earthquake victims in several refugee camps.

From data received by beritajakarta.id, as of March 4, 2022, at 14:00, there were 12,398 evacuees in 16 refugee camps in West Pasaman Regency.

"The aid is immediately distributed and we have calculated it from posts in the field. I hope a collaboration between regions will always be maintained in disaster management," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Chief Executive, Isnawa Aji stated, the Jakarta Humanitarian Collaborative Task Force brought various equipment and logistic assistance with a total estimated value of Rp 837 million.

He assessed that disaster management and disaster handling were joint work. It means that the work cannot be handled by the government alone, thus collaboration with various parties is needed.

"We hope the impact caused by the earthquake in West Pasaman can be handled properly," he conveyed.

In addition to equipment and logistic assistance, he also brought personnel and fleets to provide recovery supports for infrastructure affected by earthquakes, as well as psychosocial support service (LDP) and health service for survivors in refugee camps.

"Hopefully, the assistance can help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters in West Pasaman," he mentioned.
